The Quarantine and Export is $170 PER BIRD (Due with the birds)

The quarantine inspection will be accomplished on the morning of March 14, 2025.

We will ship all the birds to The Afrika Pro race on April 14, 2025.

Single-Bird Entries (US$ 750 per Pigeon)

Entry: A Single-Bird entry consists of 1 Activated pigeon plus 4 Reserve pigeons. Participants may enter one or more Single-Bird entries.
Single-Bird Entry Activation Fee: The Single-Bird Entry activation fee is US$750. Fanciers may optionally activate all reserve pigeons who successfully complete the Activation Race at an additional cost of US$750 per pigeon.
Replacing Pigeons: Any Reserve pigeon can replace the Activated pigeons in a Single-Bird entry before Race 1 commences - at no additional cost.
Activation: All pigeons that return after the Activation Race - including reserve pigeons, qualify for Activation. The activation cost is US$750 per pigeon. Should a participant decide not to activate all his pigeons, such pigeons will be on sale to other participating fanciers throughout the season to compete in the AFRIKAPRO series.
Activation Fee Payment Period: Participants will have five days to pay the Activation Fee after the Activation Race for all pigeons that return from the Activation Race.

Single-Bird Entries Will Compete In The Following Competitions

ACE Pigeon (Blue Jacket) Competition
This competition will evaluate the performance of all pigeons throughout the series. Based on their cumulative flying time over 10 consecutive races, 200 prizes will be awarded to the top 200 ACE pigeons.
Race Winners
The AFRIKAPRO features a series of 10 consecutive races, with 290 prizes worth $546,000.00 allocated for the winners. All activated pigeons that make it to the Final Race will compete for 200 prizes. The organisers reserve the right to adjust the distance to ensure a final race of approximately 8 to 9 hours or 600km in distance.
Endurance Series (Brown Jacket) Competition
The Endurance ACE Pigeon titles will be awarded to the top ten pigeons with the shortest accumulated flying time over the five longest races of the season
Sprint Series (Green Jacket) Competition
The Sprinter ACE Pigeon title will be awarded to the pigeon with the shortest accumulated flying time over the season's first five races. The year's top ten Sprinter ACE pigeons will be recognised for their exceptional sprinting abilities.

*Single-Bird entries are not eligible for Fancier competitions, such as the "Fancier of the Race" and "Black Jacket" competitions. However, single-bird entrants may create syndicates to participate in these fancier competitions.

Full-Team Entries (USD 15 000 per Team)

Full-Team entrants will compete in all four above-mentioned competitions, including the 2 fancier competitions. Single-Bird entrants can form Full Teams by forming a syndicate.

After the Activation Race and before Race 1, overseas participants must nominate a team of 20 pigeons for the racing season.
All fanciers whose pigeons are born and bred locally in South Africa must nominate 15 pigeons per team after the Activation Race and before Race 1.
A Maximum of two full teams (25 pigeons/team) or 50 pigeons per fancier will be allowed to enter the AFRIKAPRO loft with intake. Full teams compete in all 7 competitions, including the Fancier of the Race and the Fancier of the Year (Black Jacket) Competition.
Any surplus pigeons may compete in the Single-Bird competitions at US$ 750 per pigeon

Fancier Of The Race:
Determined by the shortest combined flying time of the first two activated pigeons per team in a specific race.
Fancier of the Year (Black Jacket) Competition
The Fancier of the Year is determined by the shortest combined flying time of the first two activated pigeons over 10 consecutive races. Fanciers must select and activate their top 10 performing pigeons in their team before every race. The fancier with the fastest accumulated flying time wins the sort-after "Fancier of the Year" award.

ALL BIRDS ARE REQUIRED TO STAY WITH US FOR A MINIMUM OF 28 DAYS BEFORE THEY CAN BE SHIPPED TO SOUTH AFRICA.

THIS COST IS STRICTLY ONLY FOR THOSE BIRDS WHICH ARE DESTINED TO COMPETE IN THE AFRICA PRO RACE THAT ARE BANDED 2024.

$275 PER BIRD FOR ANY BIRDS THAT NEED TO BE SENT TO SOUTH AFRICA, OR THE AFRICA PRO, INTENDED FOR INDIVIDUAL, OR FUTURE "BREEDING PURPOSES". APPROVAL BY THE AFRIKA PRO RACE MUST BE GRANTED FOR THIS OPTION. IMPORT QUARANTINE FEES ARE ADDITIONAL COSTS.

This will cover ALL quarantine, testing, and export costs associated with the new strict requirements imposed by the govenment of South Africa, so that we can successfully continue shipping your birds to The Afrika Pro!

Avian Export Services is both the race "Agent" and "Shipper" for all birds we collect and export on your behalf.

Birds will require 28 days pre export quarantine and multiple testing prior to export to SA this year!
