We have simplified this entire process by now handling all payments throughout the entire shipment, from beginning to end.

No payments are handled or paid separately to the quarantine in Europe as was done in the past.

The cost will be $350 USD per bird effective Aug 1, 2025. This fee covers all the costs for both sides of the quarantine process (Up to +60 days), plus it includes all the final delivery fees, couriers, HC's, and transportation costs to your clients located in Europe. The appointed couriers we work with will contact the new EU owners directly, and will coordinate and hand deliver the birds to the various EU locations.

Local pickups are no longer allowed at the Quarantine Facility.

Payment for our services is always payable to: Avian Export Services

This payment is due upon the birds arrival to our export facility located here in Utah, or prior to the birds arrival.

No birds will be exported to Europe until full payment has been received.

Non payment of services will result in birds being returned to the original owners, at their own expense.

Any large breeds like Modenas, King Pigeons, etc, which require 2 spaces per bird for safe transport, will be assessed an extra $25 USD per bird.

This collection is strictly for birds destined for any of the European Union Countries.

Delivery to the UK will require an additional fee of 100 Euros per bird.

We accept both fancy breeds, show breeds, and racing pigeons.

In an ever changing shipping environment, we always strive to stay up to date with ongoing changes that take place in the commerical live animal shipping world.

If your pet bird is listed above, it does NOT qualify for travel as a pet bird.

(Please take the time to read this important information below) 

We offer private quarantine sessions (non-race related) overseen by our USDA, beginning (September 1st through January 31st), when we are not servicing or performing quarantines for international races around the globe.

We require a minimum of +20 birds in a quarantine session. The individual in the importing importing country must apply for, and obtain the necessary import permit for us, before we can do any work associated with private quarantine services, for birds originating from the USA.

We recommend that you have the necessary import permit approved, if your birds final destination is located outside of the EU.

Please also allow for flexibility on the export dates as things always change daily with exporting and flights with the various carriers we work with.

The pricing is dependent on a host of factors, which involve vet bills, taxes we must pay, daily quarantine fees, feed and supplements, vaccination costs, exam fees, mandatory necropsy and testing fees which can range anywhere between $120-$150 PER BIRD  (when necessary), ground transportation, airline fees and freight brokerage logistics fees, shipping crates, administrative fees, quarantine fees based on 21 to 30 days, inspection fees, blood testing fees/and or PCR testing for both AI and Newcastle at the approved state lab we use ( both tests are required) vet visits by our board certified Avian Vet, International Health Certificate Fees, and final USDA signoff approvals and endorsements.

Please Note: Flexibility is necessary with exporting live animals. If birds are delayed due to import permit circumstances, testing results delays, and we are required to keep the birds at our facility longer than the typical 30 days as a result of this, additional fees of $9.25 per bird per day as modeled after the USDA rates which took affect in Feb 2025, will be added on for those delays. Any other avian species will have slightly different pricing, taking into account the size of the birds, breed, the quarantine environment required for special accommodations, feed, testing requirements, etc.

ALL RESERVATION, QUARANTINE, AND SERVICE FEES ASSOCIATED WITH THE EXPORTING PROCESS, MUST BE PAID 100% IN ADVANCE AND UPFRONT, PRIOR TO BIRDS ARRIVING TO OUR QUARANTINE FACILITY.

One person shall be responsible for making the payment.

Written acknowledgement of our "Terms and Conditions" is required.

PLEASE DO NOT SHIP ANY BIRDS TO US UNLESS YOU HAVE MADE PRIOR PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS.

THIS NEW POLICY IS PUT IN PLACE TO ENSURE THAT THE VENDORS WHO BILL US IN ADVANCE FOR THEIR SERVICES, ALSO RECEIVE THEIR PAYMENTS  IN ADVANCE FOR ALL SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS ENTIRE QUARANTINE AND EXPORTING PROCESS.

*****Special Terms and Conditions associated with Exporting/Importing & Private Quarantine Services*****

While we strive to care for your birds to the best of our ability, we are dealing with live animals, and as such, accidents and incidents with live birds can and do happen. The process of performing quarantine services as well as exporting services is highly regulated by various governmental agencies around the world.

It is acknowledged and accepted that you agree to these terms and conditions below anytime you hire us to perform quarantine and export services for your birds. You also agree to not hold us liable for any occurrences or losses that may happen while your birds are with us.

Avian Export Services and Its owner shall not be held responsible for any losses of birds due to illness, death of a bird while in quarantine, flyaways, and or birds that may accidentally escape while with us, injury of a bird of any kind, euthanasia of birds when deemed necessary by the governmental agency, delays on shipments with the airlines, or while en route during times of transportation while heading to their final destination. 

The exportation and or importation of your birds, is strictly contingent upon your full acceptance and binding agreement  to the terms and conditions set forth with our business.

Credits are pro-rated on a case by case basis.

PLEASE NOTE: If for any reason the birds cannot be shipped or exported to their final destination as originally planned, the shipping fees and expenses associated with returning birds to their original owners are to be paid by the original owners of the birds, not Avian Export Services. Avian Export Services will offer a free future export when the need arises.

We now have an established partnership with the newly approved Kaladokwe Quarantine Center located in South Africa!!

Costs are based on the total qty of birds in the group:

less than 20 birds = $550 Per bird

21-59 birds = $525 Per bird

60-100 birds = $475 Per bird

101-150 birds = $350 Per bird

151-300 birds = $275 Per bird

The import side of the process in South Africa will charge an additional $70-80 USD Per bird for their portion of the process.

This facility will be used by us to send birds directly to South Africa, and we will also use this facility to import birds directly from South Africa. If you have birds located in South Africa that you need to get shipped to the USA, we will import them using this established pre export quarantine facility in South Africa. If you have birds currently in the USA that need to go to South Africa, we will quarantine and ship them to South Africa, and they will go through this fully approved import quarantine facility, before final delivery.
